Originally, this type of knife takes its name from the village of the same name, Laguiole, in the French province of Averon.
Known for its ergonomic curved shape and folding handle decorated with the mythical bee. Claude Dozorme was the first manufacturer to create, from this originally folding knife, an elegant table knife.
Since then, the success of the company has been growing and this is mainly due to the perfect design, complemented with the noble handles of different types of wood or horn.

In addition, Claude Dozorme decorates his work with two types of mitres at the ends of the handle, which can be stainless steel or brass. Like other table knives produced by the venerable maker, the blade for this Laguiole knife is made of X50CrMoV15 stainless steel, which gives the knife an excellent cutting edge, very good stability and easy re-sharpening of the blades.
All the knives signed by Claude Dozorme are 100% made in France in the workshops of Master Knife since 1902 in the town of Thiers.
