ABOUT THE WINERY

For 400 years, the Bockel family has had its roots in the Mittellbergheim terroir. In 1853, Frederick Boeckel, a viticulturist settled in the heart of the village, founded a commercial wine production company, and his son Emil established the reputation of the Boeckel house by creating the first terroir wines, in particular the Riesling 'Brandluft' from the vineyard of the same name that borders the village of Mittelbergheim.
