ABOUT THE WINERY
Château Pontet-Canet was acquired by Jean-François de Pontet in 1725, who gave his name to the land of Canet.
This château, whose soil is composed of quaternary gravels, is the fifth Grand Cru Classé Pauillac on the prestigious 1855 list.
The entire harvest is hand-harvested and the wine is aged entirely in barrels, from which 60% in new barrels for 15 to 20 months depending on the vintage, before being bottled.
