Sourced from one of Saint-Emilion's most famous terroirs, the 2016 Château Troplong Mondot is a blend of 89% merlot, 9% cabernet sauvignon and 2% cabernet franc grown in 77% new French oak. This deep garnet-purple wine offers aromas of ripe plum and black fruit, smoked earth, truffle, chocolate and licorice. It has a full-bodied, velvety mouthfeel and a deep, rich palate.
Troplon Mondo is a really great wine, and one of the most exclusive wines of 2016.
This vintage can age for 30 years.

A wine with character for special occasions. You could serve it with game terrine, duck/goose liver, rabbit roast leg with wild mushroom sauce or roast pork leg with prunes.
Partner yours with soft cheeses with a fluffy crust, like Brie with truffles. It also goes well with farmhouse cheeses like Tom with Wildflowers or Pecorino with Truffle.
